Where: Nuremberg Messe, NCC Mitte, München 2
Duration: Three hours
Cost to attend: $30 US
In this hands-on workshop, participants will bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI development and the rigorous security demands of the modern regulatory landscape.
The workshop begins by exploring the Synaptics Astra Machina SL2610 Dev Kit, diving into its innovative Coral Neural Network Processor (NPU) architecture, co-developed with Google Research to understand how it redefines LLM performance at the Edge. We then dive into Synaptics Torq, a fully open-source ML compiler to optimize machine learning models for the NPU. Using Torizon, the open-source Embedded Linux platform and cloud solution, attendees will learn how to deploy Machine Learning models in minutes and manage their entire lifecycle through seamless over-the-air updates.
Finally, we address the "elephant in the room": the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA). We will move beyond theory into a practical exercise, demonstrating how to perform vulnerability scanning on an SBOMs (Software Bill of Materials), and execute a response to a newly detected CVE.
Key Takeaways
Next-Gen Architecture: Deep dive into the NPU architecture co-developed with Google Research for future-proof Edge AI.
Open ML Toolchains: Gain hands-on experience with Torq, the new open-source AI optimization toolchain.
Rapid Deployment: Learn the workflow to test and deploy AI models to real hardware
Lifecycle Security: Master real-world CRA compliance through SBOMs and user-friendly Vulnerability Management.
Who should attend? This workshop is led by experts who will combine lecture with one-on-one instruction. It is aimed at:
ML Application Developers: Looking for efficient ways to move models from the cloud to edge silicon.
Embedded Linux Platform Maintainers: Responsible for building and securing reliable OS images across device fleets.
Compliance & Security Officers: Tasked with implementing CRA requirements and vulnerability management.
Technical Leads & Architects: Seeking a holistic view of how hardware, software, and security intersect in AI product development.
Giveaway To All Attendees The Synaptics Astra Machina SL2610 Dev Kit plus all associated software. Registrants MUST attend in person to receive the giveaway.
HW/SW requirements Attendees should bring a Laptop (Mac, Windows, or Linux) with Wi-Fi connectivity.
