Learn the latest in wireless IoT systems with NXP’s FRDM RW612, FRDM MCX W71, and sensing platforms, and take the hardware home with you. Fueled by new standards like Matter, the need for Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth LE in IoT continues to expand, with IoT devices like smart thermostats, sensors, and building control systems all adding wireless connectivity.
Built on the MCUXpresso Developer Experience, the latest FRDM RW612 and MCX W71 boards offer a complete, low-cost wireless development solution. Coupled with the App Code Hub for code examples and the Expansion Board Hub for add on boards, NXP enables developers to quickly and easily develop new wireless products or add wireless to their existing products.
This hands on workshop will give an overview of the Wi-Fi 6 tri-radio RW612, the multiprotocol MCX W71 MCU, and NXP’s sensing platform while showcasing example applications that will include multiple hands on examples using the FRDM boards for both devices coupled with sensing add on boards to accelerate your wireless IoT designs! And the boards are yours to keep.
Who should attend? This workshop will combine lecture with one-on-one instruction. Attendees should have a working knowledge of embedded development.
Giveaway Attendees will leave the workshop with all they need to start wireless system development, including:
Multiprotocol 802.15.4/Bluetooth LE FRDM-MCXW71 board
Tri-Radio, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE/802.15.4, FRDM-RW612 board
The FRDM boards allow rapid prototyping and expansion with a built-in debugger/programmer and access to pins through Arduino, Mikroclick, and PMOD headers. Combined with the sensing add on boards, attendees can quickly start building their wireless system.
Hardware & Software requirements All attendees should come to the workshop with a laptop with VS Code and the MCUXpresso plugin pre-installed (link to software download will follow once registered).
