When you look at global conferences and tradeshows/exhibitions in the embedded space, nothing compares to Embedded World, held annually (when we’re not in a pandemic) in late Winter in Nuremberg, Germany. The 2023 event, scheduled for March 14-16, comes just nine months after the pandemic-delayed 2022 version, which brings some challenges, but also offers some unique opportunities.
The challenges are obvious; the general public is used to having 12 months to do their planning. The opportunities come from the fact that exhibitors could be doing their planning for 2023 while on-site in 2022.
To understand how this new timeline effects the attendees, the exhibitors, and the management behind the event, I spent a few minutes with the Executive Director of Embedded World, Benedikt Weyerer. Benedikt lays out why an attendee should clear time on his busy schedule to attend the annual event, while doing the same for exhibitors.
