Steve Yates, P.E., is Founder and CEO of Federant, LLC, building an open-architecture platform for remote-industry AIoT that combines edge AI, secure fleet operations, and federated multi-radio connectivity. A former hardware engineer at Intel and GE, he founded ADI Engineering, bootstrapping it from a design house to a high-volume OEM supplier to Tier-1s worldwide. ADI was later acquired by Silicom Ltd., where he served as Co-President and CTO. An engineer-founder with 30+ years in embedded and wireless systems, and more recently edge AI and AIoT, he is a Senior Member, IEEE, an inventor on seven U.S. patents, and a licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia.
