Jonathan Cain

Vice-Chair, Steering Committee, SOSA Consortium

Jonathan Cain is an Engineering Manager at Raytheon, an RTX Business, where he is the co-lead of the Raytheon MOSA Center of Excellence and the RTX Open Systems Architecture Community of Practice. Jonathan is a Level 5 Raytheon Certified Program Manager and an RTX Certified Architect. He is the current lead of the Sensor Open Systems Architecture® (SOSA®) Enterprise Guidance Committee. Jonathan began supporting the SOSA Consortium in 2019, authoring change proposals in the Electrical/Mechanical Subcommittee for Common Launch Tube small UAS EO/IR sensors. In 2022, he began leading the logical-layer alignment of the SOSA Technical Standard with the Weapons Open Systems Architecture (WOSA) focusing on EO/IR and RF missile seekers. After five years supporting the Technical Working Group, Jonathan popped out of the system in 2024 to participate primarily in the Business Working Group.
