Stephen Olsen is a Principal Field Application Engineer at QNX with 30+ years of embedded software experience. He supports North American automotive OEMs on software-defined vehicle architectures, specializing in QNX RTOS, QNX Hypervisor virtualization and Rust integration for safety-critical systems.
Previously, Stephen worked as a system architect, product line manager, and engineering manager with other real-time operating system vendors. He co-chaired the VSIA Multi-Core Association Hardware-dependent Software working group, co-authored the MRAPI specification and the Multi-core Programming Practices book. He holds a patent for debugging hardware-accelerated operating systems.
