Bill Phipps is a seasoned embedded software engineer who spent 15 years as a US defense contractor focused on anti-tamper and cyber security solutions for airborne and sub-sea military systems prior to joining WolfSSL in 2023. With a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, he is often heard saying, “How can you code without an oscilloscope?” He has a fervent passion for low-level hardware interfacing, and spends his days optimizing assembly-based boot sequences and worried about cache alignment. In his free time, he enjoys reading technical manuals and NIST publications. He resides with his family just outside of Orlando, FL, where he greatly enjoyed winter last year, which was on a Tuesday.
