Thomas Swoyer Jr. is the President of GrandSKY, the nation’s first commercial unmanned aerial systems (UAS) flight test and operations center. Under his leadership, GrandSKY has become a premier hub for UAS research, demonstration, testing, and training, offering state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities for both military and commercial operations. Offering unique capabilities such as 11,000 sq miles of beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) flight operations service volume and the ability to support Class 1 through Class 5 UAS, Swoyer's efforts have significantly contributed to North Dakota's robust flight test, regulatory, and operational UAS ecosystem. GrandSKY invests in fostering capabilities that support continuous UAS industry advancements.
