    With the announcement of the powerful RP2040 in early 2021, Raspberry Pi shifted its focus from (only) single-board computers (SBCs) to the world of custom microcontroller silicon. They followed this up in August 2024 with the new and improved RP2350, making RPi arguably the most exciting chipmaker in the microcontroller sphere.
