In military applications, the edge most often refers to where one engages the adversary or sensors collect the data, regardless of domain – air, land, sea, space, and spectrum. From the battle commander’s point of view, all deployed platforms and sensors are in fact edge devices. Enabling MOSA [modular open systems approach] at the edge involves the ways in which open architecture initiatives and open standards can be applied across these domains. This session covers how MOSA enables smart sensor processing, collection, and analysis at the edge – regardless of domain – through the lens of open architectures and standards.
This session is part of an ondemand series.
