Where: Room 9A Convention Center, Austin, Texas
Cost to attend: $30 US
Join us for an exciting workshop featuring ST’s STM32 NUCLEO-H7S3L8 development board — yours to keep! This three-hour interactive session offers personalize instruction, engaging discussions, and practical hands-on exercises to familiarize you with the new STM32H7R and STM32H7S microcontrollers, ST’s fastest MCUs equipped with a Cortex-M7 CPU core running at 600MHz. Discover how these cost-effective “boot-flash” MCUs will enhance your projects.
STM32H7R and STM32H7S microcontrollers embed a 2.5D NeoChrom GPU for the development of sophisticated GUIs that can operate smoothly at 60FPS with WXGA resolution. This makes it possible to run MPU-like applications on an economical real-time MCU. Furthermore, all H7 models comply with the strict security requirements of SESIP Level 3 and PSA Level 3 certifications, offering physical attack protection and advanced encryption mechanisms for external flash and RAM modules.
These product capabilities will be covered in detail, along with architecture, peripherals, and modes of operation.
Additional information on the content of the workshop is available below:
Who should attend? This workshop will combine lecture with one-on-one instruction. Attendees should have a working knowledge of embedded development and be prepared to dedicate approximately one hour pre-work, downloading and installing the tools.
Giveaway Attendees will leave the workshop armed with the STM32 NUCLEO-H7S3L8 Board that provides an affordable, flexible way for users to try out new concepts and build prototypes by choosing from the various combinations of performance and power consumption features, provided by the STM32 microcontroller.
Hardware & Software requirements
ST will provide: one NUCLEO-H7S3L8 and one USB Type-A to Type-C Cable.
All attendees should bring a laptop running Windows 10 or 11 only. Admin rights are required for software and driver installation. Downloading and installation of the following tools will be required in advance of the workshop: STM32Cube IDE; STM32Cube Programmer; STM32CubeMX; STM32CubeH7RS. The details, links and guidelines will be provided via email with your registration confirmation:
Minimum Hardware Requirements include: one enabled USB port, 4 GB of system memory (RAM) and 7 GB of available disk space. For machines with only USB Type-C ports, please bring one Type-C to Type-C cable or a USB hub (Type-C upstream connection) with one Type-A downstream port.
