Fueled by new standards like Matter, the need for Wi-Fi, Thread, Zigbee, and Bluetooth LE in IoT continues to expand rapidly. IoT devices like smart thermostats, sensors, door locks, and building control systems are all adding wireless connectivity to enable a more intelligent and responsive home. Learn how to design the wireless component of such a system using a complete, low-cost wireless development solution that’s built on NXP’s MCUXpresso Developer Experience, namely the FRDM RW612 and MCX W71 boards.

This 3-hour hands-on workshop will give an overview of both the Wi-Fi 6 tri-radio RW612 and the multiprotocol MCX W71 devices, showcase example applications, and include multiple hands on examples using the FRDM boards for both devices to accelerate your wireless IoT designs and you get to keep all the hardware and software!

Attendees will leave the workshop with all they need to start advanced wireless development for their IoT designs, including a multiprotocol 802.15.4/Bluetooth LE FRDM MCX W71 wireless MCU board, a Tri-Radio (Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth LE/802.15.4) FRDM RW612 wireless MCU board, software, and training. These FRDM boards along with our MCUXpresso toolkit enables the freedom to innovate with engineering centric tools, GitHub integration, and access to application add-ons.

    Who should attend?
This workshop will combine lecture with one-on-one instruction. Attendees should have a working knowledge of embedded development.
